to assess changes that have taken place since the first <i>Company Level Industrial Relations Survey</i> in 1985 (Study not available via the UK Data Archive.)<br>
to investigate how employee relations fits in with broader policy making<br>
to explore the relationship between employee relations policy and financial control mechanisms<br>
to consider the implications on employee relations policy and practice of the fact that many UK enterprises are ultimately overseas owned, and that many have overseas subsidiaries.<br>
Data from interviews at European head offices in 26 overseas-owned companies have been withheld until initial analysis is complete.<br>
