Modal Information Theory --A New Possible Philosophical Foundation for Mesoscopic Domain In China

The author proposes a potential philosophical foundation for mesoscopic research in China. Having observed theoretical disarray within this field, he constructs a framework built upon S4 modal logic and the M3 orthomodular lattice (M3 OML). He further establishes a novel criterion bridging Shannon information theory and von Neumann quantum information theory, which he designates Liu Geng entropy, alongside a newly defined mesoscopic information unit dubbed the meso bit (shortened to mobit). His theoretical system addresses an urgent research gap in mesoscopic studies. The question thus arises: can this work qualify as a Kuhnian paradigm shift?
