A gene-expression signature in fibroblasts of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

In this study, we characterized transcriptome changes in skin fibroblasts of sporadic ALS patients (SALS) and controls and evaluated their utility as a molecular classifier for ALS diagnosis. Whole gene expression profiles of skin fibroblasts from SALS patients and healthy controls were analyzed. Fibroblast samples were obtained from three healthy individuals and nine patients diagnosed with SALS.
