Lactococcus formosensis MS200408A genome sequencing. Lactococcus formosensis

Lactococcus formosensis MS200408A is a causative agent of Lactococcosis in farmed genus Seriola such as yellowtail, greater amberjack, and Striped jack in Japan. This strain was isolated from farmed greater amberjack in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan in April 2020. This strain agglutinates with serotype II diagnostic antisera. Unfortunately, only one strain of serotype II genome sequence has been reported. Therefore, we report the complete genome sequence of this strain for the purpose of elucidating the pathogenic mechanism, taxonomic examination, and searching for drug resistance genes. In addition, this genome sequence data of MS200408A strain will be useful for comparative analysis with serotype I and serotype III strains.
