Dataset on IA tools impact on students outcomes
收藏资源简介:
The study was conducted between July and September 2025 with students enrolled in public and private universities and institutes in Morocco during the 2024-2025 academic year. The target population includes undergraduate and master's students, regardless of their discipline. Doctoral students were excluded from the sample due to the difficulty in objectively measuring the influence of artificial intelligence tools on their research work. The data was collected using an online questionnaire administered via Google Forms, following a convenience sampling method. The questionnaire was developed and administered according to a rigorous two-step process, based on previous studies on the use of artificial intelligence tools in an educational context. The questionnaire includes closed questions, specifically designed to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. Subsequently, the qualitative data was quantified to adapt it to the adopted methodological approach. The data collection instrument included two distinct sections. § The first section included seven items related to the sociodemographic and academic characteristics of the participants, including age, gender, field and level of study. The second section included a main question aimed at determining whether students had already used artificial intelligence tools for academic purposes (for example, for completing assignments, essays, or research). In case of an affirmative response, four additional items were proposed, respectively addressing the AI tools used in their academic activities, the types of tasks involved, the frequency or proportion of use of these tools for academic purposes, and the two subjects or modules in which the use of AI was most frequent, along with the grades obtained in these disciplines.
