Standardizing Vaginal Microbiome Profiling_Mock sample

The objective of this study is to establish standardized methodologies for efficient and reliable vaginal microbiome profiling. Vaginal samples were collected using three different swab types to compare their effectiveness in capturing microbial composition. To evaluate the impact of preservation methods, artificial mock samples were stored under various conditions prior to DNA extraction and subsequent sequencing analysis. Additionally, host DNA depletion was performed on mock samples to assess its effect on sequencing efficiency and overall microbiome composition.
