ECOTICC eRASS1 Synthetic Catalogue v1.0: A Four-Parameter Scaling Law for Baryon Asymmetry in Galaxy Clusters
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the ECOTICC eRASS1 Synthetic Catalogue and companion materials for the Letter "A Four-Parameter Scaling Law for Baryon Asymmetry in Galaxy Clusters: ECOTICC Model Predictions for eRASS1" Is a new semi-empirical scaling law [A(M,z)] that parametrizes the baryon-budget asymmetry in galaxy clusters, defined here as the deviation of the intracluster baryon content from the cosmic mean, within the ECOTICC (Efficient COsmological Thermodynamic Integration of Cluster Coevolution) framework. This notion of “baryon asymmetry” refers to baryon depletion and redistribution in cluster halos, and is not related to the cosmological matter–antimatter (baryogenesis) problem. Applying this model to the eROSITA All-Sky Survey (eRASS1) population of 10,442 high-quality clusters from the Bulbul et al. (2024) catalog, we derive theoretical predictions for the scaling relation: A(M,z) = A0 * (M500 / Mc)^alpha * (1 + z)^beta The ECOTICC model is grounded in the constitutive principle n = f(g,l), where the asymmetry index n emerges from the interplay between gravitational potential depth (g) and integrated radiative output (l). Previous empirical analyses of massive cluster samples (M500 >= 5 x 10^14 Msun, N ~ 1500) combining Planck SZ, eROSITA, SPIDERS, and ACT data yield a characteristic value n ~ 1.8, which we adopt as the fiducial calibration for the ECOTICC framework. For the full eRASS1 mass range (10^13 – 10^16 Msun), the model predicts:A0 = 0.108 +/- 0.009 (total),alpha = -0.12 +/- 0.04 (total),beta = -0.95 +/- 0.10 (total). These values imply strong redshift evolution (~9.8 sigma significance) and weak mass dependence (~3.1 sigma), consistent with self-regulating feedback. The predicted mass slope agrees with observed deviations from self-similarity in the Lx–M relation, and the corresponding evolution of A(M,z) provides a natural pathway toward alleviating the sigma8 tension between cluster counts and CMB measurements without requiring modifications to LambdaCDM. The repository includes: The ECOTICC eRASS1 Synthetic Catalogue (value-added theoretical predictions of A and eta for 10,442 clusters). The scientific manuscript (PDF). Python analysis scripts used to generate the model predictions and figures. All A and eta values in the catalogue are theoretical outputs of the ECOTICC framework applied to observed cluster positions, masses, and redshifts; they do not represent direct morphological measurements. The data products are intended for non-commercial scientific use, comparison with future X-ray and multiwavelength observations, and for testing the ECOTICC scaling law in cosmological analyses.
