Primary School Mental Health Pilot 2020 - Final report

The Mental Health in Primary Schools Pilot (MHiPS) project commenced in January 2020, with the recruitment of a team of researchers and clinicians from across MCRI and project partner The Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE), University of Melbourne. The project team has an impressive breadth and depth of experience across relevant sectors, including education, psychology, policy, medicine, academia and large-scale school-based trials. This team is further complimented by a committed group of colleagues from the Victorian Department of Education Central and North West Regional offices, who have partnered with us to codesign and implement the project. A Research Steering Committee and Training Steering Committee comprised of experts from across MCRI, MGSE and project collaborators (The Royal Children’s Hospital, Beyond Blue, Population Health, University of Melbourne) have provided invaluable guidance for the development of the feasibility project and plans for 2021.
