Age-related episodic-memory decline parallels hippocampal deterioration, yet aerobic-exercise benefits remain debated. Square dance uniquely unites physical, cognitive and social stimulation, but its specific impact on memory and hippocampal structure/function is unclear.In the current study, we conducted a 14-week intervention trial with 33 community-dwelling older adults assigned to one of the 2 groups (square dance or stretch training).The images were collected using a 3T Siemens MAGANETOM Prisma scanner.
