mRNA-encoded Cas13 treatment of Influenza via site-specific degradation of genomic RNA

Here we expressed, by mRNA and crRNA transfection, Cas13a targeted to Influenza virus (PB2 gene) to specifically degrade viral RNA. We have delivered this in vitro, in infected cells (A549). These experiments demonstrated the specificity of the approach to Influenza Virus RNA.
