Household Energy Use

*The dataset shows the distribution of household energy based on four energy sources - dung, electricity, paraffin, and wood - which are considered to be the main household energy sources for South Africa. *From a socio-economic point of view, the dataset shows that high income households derive most of their energy from electricity, whereas low income households still derive a significant portion of energy from dung, paraffin and wood. *The distribution is expressed as a value between 0 and 1. *The data was allocated mesozones by combining energy usage data with a base mesozone layer from the CSIR Geospatial Analysis Platform (GAP).
