This dataset provides the estimated average concentrations of indoor PM2.5 and indoor fire-caused PM2.5 (fire-PM2.5) from 2003 to 2022, on a global scale with a spatial resolution of 0.5° x 0.5° (longitude and latitude) based on data from Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, version 2 and Finnish Meteorological institute. Additionally, it includes the annual average per capita costs associated with reducing indoor PM2.5 concentrations to different targets: 25μg/m³ (intervention scenario S1); 15μg/m³ (S2), and 5μg/m³ (S3). The dataset also provides the global annual average per capita extra costs of using air purifiers incurred from fire-PM2.5. Naming Convention:The file naming convention is as follows: Cin XXX.tif Where: Cin = Indoor PM2.5 concentration XXX = Indoor total PM2.5 concentration (TOTAL) or indoor fire-PM2.5 concenration (FIRE) COST SX.tif Where: COST= Cost of reducing indoor PM2.5 with air purifiers SX =  Intervention scenario EXTRACOST SX.tif Where: EXTRACOST= Extra cost incurred from fire-PM2.5 with air purifiers SX = Intervention scenario
