The dataset primarily comprises invention patents and utility model patents related to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents sourced from the global patent database. It evaluates and classifies the patent data using proprietary algorithms, enabling horizontal and longitudinal analysis of the trends in patent data for MRI contrast agents, and facilitating the comprehension of intellectual property (IP) achievements in this field. By comparing the MRI contrast agent-related patent data of various enterprises and individuals, users can discern differences in their technological innovation capabilities and innovation levels. Additionally, analyzing the technological development trends of MRI contrast agents helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and prevent their developed technologies from infringing others' intellectual property rights.
This dataset is built upon the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model integrated with the entropy weight method. The target layer of the model is patent value, while the indicator layer divides the patent value index system into five core value dimensions: market, technology, law, strategy, and economy. The indicator layer is further subdivided into a criterion layer, with specific indicators as follows:
- Technological value: number of IPC classifications, number of cited patents, years of patent authorization
- Economic value: remaining valid years, comprehensive third-party valuation, number of patent pledges
- Legal value: number of claims, number of document pages, number of non-patent references (NPRs)
- Strategic value: number of inventors, number of simple patent family members, number of citations received within 5 years
- Market value: number of technical subject classifications, patent type, whether the patent belongs to strategic emerging industries
Corresponding weights are calculated by establishing a five-dimensional original matrix and patent evaluation criteria based on the above dimensions and indicators. The weights derived from the entropy weight method are utilized to calculate the value of each dimension, with all five dimensions assigned equal weights. The sum of the values of the five dimensions is defined as the comprehensive value of high-value patents. The IFS function is employed to assess the value of each patent, categorizing them into ultra-high-value patents, high-value patents, general-value patents, and valueless patents. This dataset provides technical personnel in this field with decision-making support for R&D and priority references for technology infringement avoidance.
