Three novel Arctic bacterial strains isolated from coastal beach sediments at Tuprivik Beach, Resolute Bay, Nunavut, Canada. The three strains: Rhodococcus sp. strain R1B_2T, Flavobacterium sp. strain R2B_3I and Pseudoarthrobacter sp. strain R2D_1T were exposed to ultra-low sulphur fuel oil as the sole energy source in liquid culture at cold temperature for three months. Transcriptomic sequencing was performed to analyse the differential gene expression of these ULSFO-exposed strains.
