We have synthesized a range of ferromagnetic spinel ferrites which shows a significant magnetic properties at room temperature. We have studied the detailed electrocatalytic properties for the oxygen evolution reaction. Our aim is to induce the spin polarization by applying the external magnetic field and utilize the spin polarization for the catalysis of oxygen evolution reaction. According to that, We have studied the electrochemical oxygen evolution of our synthesized NiFe2O4, CoFe2O4 (and many other ferrites) with and with our external magnetic field (500 mT). The results shows that application of external magnetic field enhances the rate of oxygen evolution significantly. The effect of magnetic field on the mechanism of oxygen evolution is unclear. Understanding the origin of spin polarization and role of spin polarization on the oxygen evolution will help to understand the mechanism
