Dataset for "Structured Ytterbium and Erbium -doped Silica Fiber for Dual Wavelength Laser Operation"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes relevant data and figures associated with the manuscript "Structured Ytterbium and Erbium -doped Silica Fiber for Dual Wavelength Laser Operation". The Figures are in .png format and all relevant data are in xls and mhp formats. Data files are labeled according to the corresponding figure in the manuscript . The dataset is organized in DATA JLT.2026.3679115.xlm file, where individual sheets are named after a Figure in the manuscript. Data for Fig.4. are kept in separated file named Data DATA JLT.2026.3679115-Fig.4.xlm and for Fig. 9. depicting theoretical calcualtion are excluded from DATAJLT.2026.3679115.xlm xlm file a kept separately in mhp file. The labels of the axes and the units are indicated in the headers of individual columns of each sheet file. Full context and detailed analysis of the provided raw and processed Data can be found in the manuscript. Note that the mode overlap in the structured-core fiber and the SMF 28 is higher at 1550 nm than at 1042 nm. It is evident from the Fig. 9, but there was a typo in text, the wavelengths are switched. Correctly it should be as follows: “The splice losses between SMF28 fiber and YbErDWFL were estimated by determining mode overlaps as described above. Fig. 9 shows the simulated fundamental mode for SMF28 fiber (left column) and YbErDWFL (right column). In both cases, the field is more squeezed to the fiber axis for a shorter wavelength. The calculated overlap factors are Γ = 0.988 for λ = 1550 nm and Γ = 0.952 for λ =1042 nm. The splice losses are then L = −10log(Γ), thus, about 0.05 dB for 1550 nm, respectively 0.21 dB for 1042 nm. The losses are not excessively large to prevent laser operation.” Note that the absolute values in the spectra can be affected by the fact that the spectra were measured in backward direction with respect to the pump as well as to the output signal through the. In addition, the WDM has different transmission at both wavelengths.
