Dataset 3, woodlot study on distance between trees 2m off of the transect, Sept 21, 2015

A study of 10 pairs of trees was conducted to determine the diameter of each tree and the distance between two trees through continuous measurement, placed within 2meters of the transect line in centimeters. The study was done on Monday, September 21, 2015, around 4pm under 18ᵒC at the Saywell woodlot in the South-West corner of the Keele campus at York University. The transect line used to determine which trees to use started at a random spot on the edge of the woodlot and heads towards the center of the woods. The trees are categorized under full canopy, alive, or dead tree. The diameter of each tree was obtained in centimeters at breast height (122cm), where roots of trees that branched off before reaching breast height is excluded.
