\r\n\r\nAn inshore regionalisation of Australian waters derived from biological and\r\nphysical data, including the distribution of demersal fishes, marine plants\r\nand invertebrates, sea floor geomorphology and sediments, and oceanographic\r\ndata.\r\n\r\nThe meso-scale regionalisation was compiled from information supplied to the\r\nAustralian Government Department of the Environment by the\r\nrelevant State, Northern Territory and Commonwealth marine research and\r\nmanagement agencies.\r\n\r\nThe seaward extent for the meso-scale IMCR coverage is defined by the 200m\r\nisobath except where this boundary extends beyond the Australian Exclusive\r\nEconomic Zone (AEEZ).\r\n\r\n
