Alignment Contestation: Cyber Disruption in Trilateral Rivalries

This dataset contains replication materials for the article "Alignment Contestation: Cyber Disruption in Trilateral Rivalries" submitted to the Journal of Cybersecurity. The package includes an aggregated weekly dataset covering three trilateral rivalry configurations involving the United Kingdom between 2014 and 2023 (UK-Russia-Ukraine, UK-China-Hong Kong, UK-Iran-Israel), combining open-source DDoS cyber attack data with dyadic cooperation-conflict indicators derived from ICEWS and GDELT event datasets. Binary logistic regression models test whether severe cyber disruption targeting the UK increases systematically when the UK deepens cooperation with actors strategically salient to a rival state and when bilateral relations with that rival deteriorate.
