资源简介:
In this research paper, the impact of multimodal interaction design on user engagement in digital settings through language, visuals, sound and interactivity has been studied using the knowledge gained from Multimodal Discourse Analysis as well as Human-Computer Interaction. The research uses a qualitative research methodology that aims to determine how different aspects of design influence user participation and interaction on digital media platforms. In doing so, the research finds out that user engagement is a complex process comprising several aspects such as cognition, emotions, and behavior, all of which can be enhanced via a carefully constructed use of multimodal resources. The visual elements of design attract user attention and aid in information perception, while auditory cues enhance the emotional aspect of engagement. At the same time, interactions and opportunities to participate actively and co-create content are vital factors affecting user engagement. The research demonstrates that effective user engagement is possible not only due to the use of multiple modalities but also because of their proper use in user-centered design principles. Moreover, certain platform-specific possibilities are critical when it comes to determining how user engagement takes place.
