BactoTraits database

BactoTraits database is a functional trait database to evaluate how natural and man-induced changes influence the assembly of bacterial communities. We have created a user-friendly database of bacterial functional traits, thanks to the properties of 19,455 bacterial strains collected from BacDive. For example, oxygen preference, size and shape of bacteria, motility, optimum and range of pH and temperature, genome GC percent and trophic type are among the 19 traits included in BactoTraits. Inference of functional traits is based on taxonomic diversity information obtained by high-throughput sequencing of 16S rDNA.BactoTraits 数据库（BactoTraits database）是一款功能性状数据库（functional trait database），旨在探究自然与人为扰动对细菌群落构建过程的影响。本研究团队依托从BacDive采集的19455株细菌菌株的性状数据，构建了这款用户友好型细菌功能性状数据库。例如，BactoTraits 数据库收录的19项功能性状涵盖氧偏好、细菌形态与大小、运动性、pH及温度的最适值与耐受范围、基因组GC含量以及营养型等。功能性状的推断基于通过16S rDNA高通量测序获得的分类多样性信息。
