资源简介:
This study establishes Planetary Translation as a novel framework for addressing the cultural and ecological crises of the Anthropocene while transcending conventional textual mediation to unite diverse knowledge systems. Rooted in the triadic synergy of Eco-Translatology, Biophilia, and Consilience, Planetary Translation redefines translation as a multidisciplinary mediator that connects local realities with global imperatives. Through case studies such as (1) Google’s Flood Forecasting Initiative, (2) Destination Earth, (3) coral restoration via AI and VR, and (4) lunar mapping, the research demonstrates how adaptive, emotional, and integrative principles operationalize solutions for planetary challenges. Eco-Translatology ensures cultural and ecological fidelity in translational acts, Biophilia evokes humanity’s intrinsic bond with nature to inspire empathy and advocacy, and Consilience fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by uniting scientific, cultural, and technological insights. This synthesis transforms translation into a dynamic force for fostering ecological resilience and global inclusivity. Future research explores translational AI for marginalized languages and interdisciplinary curricula to cultivate planetary translators equipped to navigate the Anthropocene’s complexities. By integrating cultural sensitivity, technological innovation, and ecological stewardship, Planetary Translation emerges as a vital paradigm for fostering sustainable, equitable, and collaborative futures across the planet and beyond.
