Data and Code for "Global Socio-economic Resilience to Disasters"

Overview This repository contains data and code necessary for replication of the publication: "R. Middelanis, B. A. Jafino, R. Hill, M. C. Nguyen, S. Hallegatte (2026). Global Socio-economic Resilience to Disasters. Nature Sustainability." See README.md for detailed instructions. Contents data: contains raw input data obtained from other sources where allowed by the respective licenses. Pre-processed data to reproduce all results of the study is provided under data/processed. src: contains all necessary code for data processing and reproduction of the study's results. results: contains pre-computed raw simulation outputs alongside numbers, tables, and figures displayed in the manuscript. README.md: contains detailed instructions on the use of this package and how the study's findings can be reproduced. Dependencies A reproducible environment is specified in pyproject.toml and pinned in uv.lock. License All contents in this repository are published under a BSD 3-Clause License EXCEPT for contents under data/raw and data/WB_shapes, which contain input data obtained from other sources with their respective own licenses.
