PLSS QQs and Other Sectional Subdivisions

This PLSS dataset was compiled by IDWR in 2016/2017 showing Public Land Survey System (PLSS) data from a variety of sources, including BLM's CadNSDI, IDL's edits to the CadNSDI alongside alignments to data from a variety of counties. The "SOURCE", "SOURCEINPUT" and "EDITS" fields provide information about the source for each polygon as well as the type of edits made to those polygons by IDWR.Certain areas, for example between meander lines along rivers, lakes and in protracted areas, where sections have not been officially subdivided, IDWR has edited those sections and subdivided those into quarter quarters (QQs) for IDWR's internal purposes. Those areas that have been "filled in" in this manner can be identified in the section and QQ layers by querying "OFFCL_DESC" = "NO PLSS". This modication was made by IDWR to accomodate IDWR specific business processes.
