Anatomical measurements of formalin-fixed human brains

The dataset includes the quantitative data collected and results from statistical analyses conducted, for a research study on the anatomical investigation of the interthalamic adhesion in formalin-fixed adult human brains at the University of Pretoria. The sample was dissected and data collected from photographs of the region of interest analysed with ImageJ, a scientific image analysis application. Statistical analysis was conducted using the application SPSS. The data collected included prevalence, shape, location within the third ventricle, superior-inferior length, anterior-posterior length and surface area of the interthalamic adhesion, as well as surface area of the third ventricle.本数据集涵盖了在普利托里亚大学进行的关于甲醛固定成年人类大脑间脑联合解剖学研究中的定量数据收集以及统计分析结果。样本经过解剖，并通过ImageJ（一款科学图像分析应用）对感兴趣区域的摄影图像进行数据收集。统计分析利用SPSS应用进行。收集的数据包括间脑联合的患病率、形状、在第三脑室内的位置、上下长度、前后长度及表面积，以及第三脑室的表面积。
