High-Resolution ATLAS of Daily Precipitation Reconstruction for Sicily,Italy (1951–2025)

This dataset contains a high-resolution (2 km × 2 km) daily gridded precipitation reconstruction for the island of Sicily, covering the period 1951–2025. It is the outcome of a PhD research project that develops and validates a two-phase geostatistical framework explicitly separating rainfall occurrence and magnitude, with further stratification into standard hydrometeorological regimes. The final product is delivered in NetCDF format, including daily probability of occurrence, binary rain/no-rain maps, bias adjusted rainfall fields and uncertainty maps.
