Soil bacterial diversity around a hospital and university precinct in South India over a 12-month period.

This study identified and compared the bacterial diversity and clinically relavent bacterial strains around a newly developed hospital and university precinct in southern India for a period of twelve months. Soil samples were taken from fourty plots next to a Hospital and University in sourthern India over the period of twelve months. The samples underwent 16S sequencing to determine how the soil microbiota was affected by seasons and being in close proximaty to healthcare facilities.
