Well completion report sites delegated counties

SDE feature class created nightly from Station Header points (GISLIB.STN_ET_GEOM) and attribute data from PROD. Features represent water supply wells that do not have any associated permit from SJRWMD, but for which SJRWMD has received a Well Completion Report from the delegated counties. Originally created 9/10/2010 for use in the Water Well Construction web application. Important note about positional accuracy: In July 2013, District staff generated locations for over 250,000 wells which had previously had no locational information, using the following method: the addresses listed in the original hand-written Well Completion Reports were transcribed to a digital file through a contract procured by Regulatory Support. These digital addresses were then geocoded to locate the well point, and the resulting lat/longs were added to the Station Header entries for the wells. This process was therefore subject to potential errors such as transcription errors and errors that the well drillers themselves may have entered into the logs. In addition, some addresses could not be geocoded at all, or the geocode result was very poor. In these cases, the location was assigned to be the center of the STR listed on the well completion log.
