Systemic Inflammation Response Syndrome (SIRS) is a severe inflammatory response that can lead to organ dysfunction and failure. The modulation of the gut microbiome has been gaining traction as a novel and effective therapeutic approach for managing SIRS. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulations have shown significant potential in treating inflammation-related disorders, including SIRS, by modulating gut microbiota. To explain whether XFBD can alleviate LPS-induced SIRS by regulating gut microbiome.
