Unveil the molecular mechanisms underlying adaptation to different environmental factors, especially those extreme ones such as hypoxia, low temperature, and alkaline, attract much more attention for years. The Dali Nur Lake located in Inner Mongolia, North China is alkaline, and Triplophysa dalaica is one of the three fish species that can survival in the lake and thrive. To try to figure out the possible molecular things, based on the long-read sequencing and Hi-C technology, we sequenced the whole genome sequences of an individual endemic to the lake, and compared it with the relative species, and another individual endemic to freshwater environment.
