Wollongong LGA Historical Aerial Photography Mosaics

Web map to view available imagery web services (compiled) from the NSW Spatial Collaboration Portal for the Wollongong City Council Local Government Area.From the imagery mosaics created from the Historical Aerial Photo Enhancement (HAPE) project. Mosaics also available through the Historical Imagery ViewerCurrent and historic imagery\nform an important part of the NSW Foundation Spatial Data Framework and provide\na valuable resource which is widely accessed by government and the broader\ncommunity on a daily basis. As the completeness of this data base continues,\nits market demand also increases across a broad range of applications.Spatial Services aerial\nimagery was originally captured using a variety of cameras including the Wild\nRC-5, RC-10 and Leica RC-30 cameras with a variety of lenses with focal lengths\nof 88mm, 153mm and 304mm. Images were captured in monochrome or colour during\nthis period at a range of scales. Capture scales ranged from 1:5 000 to 1:80\n000.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Historical Air Photo\nEnhancement program (HAPE) not only allows the capability to search, discover\nand use source imagery, but also provides the delivery and viewing of enhanced\nhistoric rectified imagery mosaics. An overall accuracy of +/- 20m for 95% of the 100k map\n sheet was targeted.
