Images from an Archaeological Evaluation at Brascote Lane, Hinckley and Bosworth, Leicestershire, February to March 2022

This collection consists of images from an archaeological evaluation by University of Leicester Archaeological Services at Brascote Lane, Hinckley and Bosworth, Leicestershire, from February to March 2022. Sixty nine 40m x 2.0m trenches to provide a broad coverage of the proposed development area. Archaeological features were recorded in seven of the trenches, confirming features highlighted by geophysical survey (an Iron Age enclosure) and additional discrete features. A small amount of dating evidence was recovered in the form of two sherds of Iron Age pottery and one sherd of Roman pottery.
