资源简介:
Breast cancer is a leading cause of death in women. Amongst the various anti-cancer treatments, gene therapy using siRNA is a very promising treatment that allows us to silence target genes involved in cancer progression. siRNA molecules are not able to survive in the bloodstream, therefore nanoparticles were developed to deliver siRNA. STAT6 and PPAR-𝛾 were targeted as these genes are involved in promoting tumour growth by programming macrophages in the tumour microenvironment to protect cancer cells from inflammation, secrete growth factors and help them resist chemotherapy.
