This dataset contains pre-computed files required to reproduce the MazF/MazE toxin-antitoxin operon analysis across 3,362 Bacillota genomes, as described in theaccompanying manuscript. Contents: - extracted_proteins.tar.gz - Prodigal-predicted protein sequences (FAA format) for all 3,362 Bacillota reference genomes. Extract into results/faa/ before running the pipeline. - ORF_detection.tsv -Pre-computed InterProScan results (TSV format) for ORFs adjacent to MazF hits, used for Ribbon-Helix-Helix (RHH) domain-based MazE antitoxin detection. - MazEFTree_min15.txt -Bacillota genus-level tree pruned to genera with ≥15 representative genomes (Newick format), used for iTOL visualization. Topology derived from the full Bacillota reference tree; genome counts per genus computed from this dataset. - 16s_cutsite.tsv - 16S rRNA sequences with TACATA MazF cleavage site counts and NCBI taxonomic lineage for all genomes with a detectable 16S sequence Usage: These files are automatically downloaded by pipeline/step0_fetch_data.py when running the pipeline from the accompanying GitHub repository. See the repository README for full instructions. Reference genomes were obtained from the NCBI Assembly database (accessed July 2024).
