PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrillation apparatus capable of efficient fibrillation. SOLUTION: The fibrillation method of a fiber body includes a supply step of supplying a liquid to a fiber body containing a fiber and a fibrillation step of fibrillation of the fiber body supplied with the liquid， wherein in the supply step， the liquid is supplied to the fiber body in a manner that a ratio of a tensile strength of the fiber body right before the fibrillation in the fibrillation step becomes 60.0% or under with respect to the fiber body before the supply of the liquid.
