Premium income of small amount and short-term insurers in Japan FY 2016-2023

In the fiscal year 2023, the premium income of small amount and short-term insurance companies in Japan amounted to around 143.5 billion Japanese yen. This represented an increase of seven percent compared to the previous year.Small amount and short-term insurance companies offer so-called mini insurance products with low premiums. Depending on the product type, the period of insurance ranges from one to two years, and insurance benefits are limited to certain amounts.
