Mus musculus strain:C57BL6/J Transcriptome or Gene expression

Wild-type male or female mice were infected with MA-CCHFV or mock infected. On day 1 and 3 PI, liver tissue was collected. We have found a significant sex-linked bias in disease severity with female mice largely resistant to severe disease. Male mice develop a significant inflammatory response, liver pathology and delayed viral control. However, at 1 and 3 DPI, viral loads are identical between male and female mice in the liver. For this project we are interested in the different or similar transcriptional responses that may exist between infected male and female mice. We are also interested in comparing male and female infected mice to mock infected mice.
