Dataset for: Association of Frailty and Multimorbidity in the Middle-Aged Population of Montenegro—A Pilot Study

This dataset contains the underlying data used for the study “Association of Frailty and Multimorbidity in the Middle-Aged Population of Montenegro—A Pilot Study,” which explores the prevalence of frailty and its relationship with chronic conditions and multimorbidity among individuals aged 40–69 in Montenegro. The dataset includes:✅ Retrospective mortality rates extracted from the publication Montenegro in numbers by MONSTAT for the period from 2012 to 2023.✅Retrospective Healthcare utilization data extracted from the Statistical Yearbook by by the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro for the period from 2012 to 2021.✅ Cross-sectional individual-level data from 165 patients collected at the Primary Healthcare Center Podgorica (June–June 2025), including demographic information, frailty assessment (based on the adapted Fried Frailty Phenotype), information on chronic conditions, multimorbidity indicators, anthropometric measures, and lifestyle factors.The data are anonymized and aggregated to ensure participant privacy. Ethical Approval Study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Primary Healthcare Center in Podgorica (Approval No. 5/17-4714, and for the amendment to the initial study protocol Approval No. 5/17-9353).
