Comparison of kinetic parameters.

To assess the effect of the different treatments in the degradation of the different carbon sources, the parameters from the 4 parameters log-logistic models, were divided and the resulting ratio compared to 1 using t-tests. The letter indicates the parameter compared (T  =  TM50, S  =  slope, M  =  maximum). Values between brackets are 95% CI. Table shows only those comparisons with significant p-values (adjusted using Bonferroni correction for multiple test), meaning that these ratios significantly (p<0.05) different from 1 and thus the parameters compared were significantly different. As example, the first value in the column S/Ew indicates that the slope of the log-logistic model of degradation for A3 in treatment S was four times lower than in treatment Ew.
