资源简介:
The snubnose pompano Trachinotus blochi is a promising candidate species for coastal mariculture in India due to fast growth, good meat quality, survivability in varying salinity and high demand. Still, sporadic occurrence in the wild, limitations of year-round spawning and differential growth patterns in the dynamic environment remain as challenges for sustainable culture systems of the species. The genetic and genomic data could help to address these constraints, but such information is scarce. The study generated de-novo transcriptome assembly of Trachinotus blochii from adult (muscle and liver) and fingerlings (muscle) by paired-end sequencing. The transcriptome data generated serve as key information to develop genomic tools to combat the challenges in the aquaculture industry.
