"Wilder Feigenbaum" ("Wild fig tree"). Wooden table and bench under a big tree. An African man called Jakob(?) sitting at the table. Maki(?), the cook of the Blumer family, standing at the tree.; Cf. photo no. 406, album no. 19. -- Leonhard Blumer (1878-1938), from Kida in Estonia, served the Leipzig Mission as pastor and teacher in Arusha from 1907 to 1930 (apart from home leave in 1912-1913 and 1924-1926).
