资源简介:

Inflammation is part of the body’s defence system, but when it lasts too long, it can lead to serious health problems. Current medicines for chronic inflammation work well but often cause harmful side effects. This research explores natural compounds from plants, called phytochemicals, as safer alternatives. We studied one compound, sulforaphane, found in broccoli, to see how it affects signals that control inflammation. We also tested other plant compounds to find new options. Our results show that some phytochemicals can reduce inflammation in cells and may work alongside existing drugs. This could lead to milder treatments for long-term inflammatory diseases.
