Wiwîp’son Healing Swing

This repository contains materials from the Wîwîp’son project, a community-led collaboration exploring the healing swing (Wîwîp’son) together with wellness, and scientific inquiry. Guided by nehiyaw (Cree) knowledge and ceremony, the project combined Indigenous and experimental research approaches to study how swinging influences brain and body states related to calmness, stress, and healing.The collection includes posters, images, ethics documentation, and research outputs that document the collaborative process, the integration of qualitative testimonies and physiological data, and the presentation of results at community and academic gatherings. These resources reflect an effort to honor Indigenous knowledge systems while engaging with scientific methods to better understand how traditional practices support holistic health.
