Exiguobacterium acetylicum has been widely used in the agriculture and industries. Isolate SI17 was obtained from the litchi fruit carposphere and showed biocontrol efficacy against litchi downy blight (LDB) whether applied preharvest or postharvest. To further understand the underlying regulatory mechanisms, the genome of SI17 was sequenced and analyzed.
