Amplicon/metagenic sequencing of four sites in Nova Scotia using the DOT eDNA sampler

This was a test of the Dartmouth Ocean Technologies, Inc. environmental DNA sampler in four aqueous environments in Nova Scotia: a brackish pond (Sheeps Head Pond), a freshwater lake (Shubenacadie Grand Lake), and two marine harbours (ABCO Dock, Lunenburg, and COVE Jetty, Halifax). Amplicon (16S, 18S, and 12S rDNA; 16S and 18S RNA) and metagenomes were sequenced. Paired samples in three of the environments were collected with Niskin bottles.
