Liver cancer in ovo models

Using RNA-seq analysis, we have described in ovo liver cancer models providing the information that could help in preclinical research of new therapies for liver cancer. The white leghorn chicken fertilized eggs were obtained. At EDD9, liver tumor cells were suspended in a graft medium and were deposited onto the CAM. On EDD18, the tumors were removed. The total RNA was extracted i) from the tumor in ovo samples (n=4 samples per each cell line), and ii) from in vitro tumor cell lines (n=3 samples per each cell line).
