Gene expression signatures of PMPs from ESRD patients

End-stage renal disease (ESRD) has emerged as a critical global public health concern. Infection is a leading cause of high mortality in patients with ESRD, in which T lymphocyte immune dysfunction plays a critical role. To identify the the potential role of platelets in T cell dysfunction within the ESRD, we performed microRNA-sequencing analysis of platelet-derived microparticles (PMPs) from ESRD patients and healthy control.
