资源简介:
A baseline study on pesticide use and residues in coffee agroecosystems was conducted in 2020–2021 as part of the ECOFFEE project. This research was carried out across four paradigmatic coffee-producing countries — Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Vietnam — which represent contrasted agroecological conditions and management intensities. The study collected data from 130 Arabica and Robusta coffee farms, combining farmer surveys, flying insect trapping, and laboratory analyses of soil and coffee bean samples for pesticide residues. The present database provides the results of the pesticide residue analyses. Three plots were selected on each of the 130 farms, where composite soil samples (0–20 cm depth) and composite coffee cherry samples were collected. The coffee cherries were dried and processed to obtain green coffee samples. Pulp and parchment were kept from the hulling process and some samples were also sent for analysis. In total, 390 composite soil samples, 370 composite green coffee samples and 30 pulp and parchment samples were analyzed, screening for 586 pesticide molecules. All results are presented in this database.
