Used planet: A global history Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences 110:7978-7985. Please cite this reference for all use of these data. This data archive is provided to: 1) Reproduce Figure 1 in Ellis et al (2013). Graphics for Figure 1 are included as .tif files. An ArcGIS Map Document (.mxd) is provided, reproducing maps in Figure 1. 2) Enable analysis of total % land use per cell in different time periods across the past 8000 years based on the two anthropogenic land cover change (alcc) GIS datasets used in Ellis et al (2013: paper: HYDE 3.1 (Klein Goldewijk et al, 2011) and KK10 (Kaplan et al, 2011).
