The Kai Ken has a high prey drive. Thus, can swim and even climb trees to pursue prey. The dog is native to Japan and is quite rare to see. He is medium-sized with a body covered in a double coat of medium length and distinctive brindle coats: red brindle, black brindle, and brindle.
